This custom-built 4×4 balanced audio switcher is designed for high-end vinyl and digital playback systems where clean signal routing, reliability, and simplicity are essential.
It allows seamless selection between two balanced XLR input sources and routing to either balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA outputs, making it ideal for hybrid headphone and stereo receiver setups.

Typical Use Case

• Input A: Phono preamp (XLR, balanced)

• Input B: DAC (XLR, balanced)

• Output A: Headphone amplifier (XLR, balanced)

• Output B: Stereo receiver or integrated amp (RCA, unbalanced)

Balanced operation is fully preserved on XLR-to-XLR paths. When routing to RCA, the signal is properly converted to unbalanced after the switch.
