Technical Configuration & Grounding Logic
Designed for high-end audio routing, this unit prioritizes signal integrity and ground isolation. Unlike typical switchers that share a common ground, this build ensures unused outputs remain completely disconnected.

• Ground Isolation: Each input audio signal and audio ground is fully independent. The audio ground connection exists only between the input and the currently selected output. Non-selected outputs are fully isolated — both signal and ground — preventing signal leakage, cross-talk, and ground loops within the switcher itself.
• Chassis Grounding: The aluminum enclosure is connected to the output RCA ground for RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) shielding. This does not create a common audio-ground connection between the inputs.
• Isolated 3-Way Switching: The switch simultaneously disconnects both Signal (L/R) and Ground (L/R) of each non-selected output, providing electrical isolation between the connected audio chains within the switcher.
• BBM Switching (Break-Before-Make): The rotary switch disconnects the current output before connecting the next one, preventing any momentary connection between output devices and minimizing switching pops.
• Pure Passive Signal Path: No active electronics, buffering, or circuitry is placed in the audio signal path, providing direct, uncolored signal transmission.

• System Note: The switcher eliminates unwanted signal leakage and ground-loop paths caused by the switcher itself. Ground loops, noise, or crosstalk caused by other equipment or additional connections elsewhere in the audio system are outside the switcher’s control.
