A custom-built passive balanced audio routing system designed for audiophile and professional Hi-Fi applications where signal purity and maximum output isolation are paramount.

The unit provides 1 stereo (2-channel) balanced input and 6 independent stereo (12-channel) balanced outputs, using a Break-Before-Make (BBM) switching architecture.

Maximum Output Isolation

The switching architecture is designed so that only the selected stereo output pair has electrical continuity to the input.

• Only the selected stereo output pair is connected to the input
• XLR pins 2 and 3 of every inactive output are completely disconnected
• No inactive output can load or short the active signal path
• No electrical connection exists between unselected output signal paths
• Left and right channels use closely matched contact resistance
• Identical wiring and contact paths are maintained for left and right channels
• The shortest practical point-to-point internal wiring is used
• Maximum isolation is maintained between the individual outputs

This means the inactive outputs are not simply left connected in parallel to the signal path. The unselected outputs are electrically isolated from the active output path.
