This is what transformer color actually sounds like

Been chasing that console depth for years through plugins and saturation boxes. Nothing came close until this landed on the desk. Four Haufe V475-2C transformers in and out — the moment signal hits them you hear it imediately. There's a dimensionality and low-mid density that no plugin I've tried has properly nailed.
Using the AUX line inputs for master bus coloration is genuinly clever. Run your 2-bus through it, dial in the 21-step attenuator and you start hearing the mix glue together in a way that feels organic rather than forced. The dual seperate amps keep L/R imaging tight and stable throughout the gain range.
The 8-channel summing section on DSUB is a bonus — means the box is doing double duty as a color amp and a summing hub. Saves a chunk of desk space and cabling. Build quality is excelent, chunky aluminium, vintage chicken head knobs look the part, LED power indicator is a nice touch.
12 days build time, arrived well tested. Pricey but you are paying for real Haufe iron, hand wired. Worth every euro.
