Bi-Directional Operation – Works in Both Directions

The bi-directional design allows the unit to be used either as an input selector or as an output selector, depending on the connection configuration.

Signal Ground Configuration: The RCA signal grounds are isolated from the metal chassis, with the switched signal ground connected to the chassis.

Passive Isolated RCA Audio Switcher – Bidirectional 2-Way Audio Routing

A high-quality, fully passive RCA switching solution designed for bidirectional audio routing between two independent stereo systems.

Available configurations:

• 2 Inputs → 1 Output: Select between two stereo audio sources.
• 1 Input → 2 Outputs: Select between two stereo destinations.

Ground-Independent Switching – Helps Prevent Ground-Loop Hum

• RCA connectors are electrically isolated from the metal chassis.
• 4-pole BBM (Break-Before-Make) switching independently switches both stereo signal paths and their respective signal grounds.
• No shared signal ground between the two connected audio systems.
• Only one selected signal path is active at a time.
• The switcher is designed to prevent unwanted signal and ground interaction within the unit itself. However, noise, hum, ground loops, or crosstalk originating from other equipment or additional connections elsewhere in the audio system are outside the switcher’s control.

This design helps prevent ground-loop hum caused by shared signal-ground connections when switching between separate audio systems

Important: This is passive ground-independent signal switching, not transformer-based galvanic isolation. It eliminates the direct shared signal-ground connection between the switched systems and helps prevent ground-loop hum, although it cannot guarantee hum-free operation in every installation.
